Exploration of the origin and development of traditional Chinese medicine heat packages
are heated herbal packs placed on a diseased part of the body or a specific location on the body (such as an acupuncture point) to achieve a therapeutic purpose. It is an external treatment with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine. It has a long history of development
with a wide range of specific forms of treatment and a wide scope of diagnosis and treatment
covering a wide range of fields including internal medicine and surgery

and pediatrics
and is a truly effective method of external treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. Through a review of the relevant ancient and modern literature
we aimed to explore the historical development of the Chinese medicine heat packages from its infancy
development
enrichment
maturity and perfection stages
and to compare it with similar modern treatments
and summarize and discuss the usage of the traditional Chinese medicine heat packages and the types of diseases to which it is clinically applicable in modern research. The aim was to trace the origin and explore the evolution of traditional Chinese medicine hot packages
to promote its development and perfection
to enable better application
and to further promote the development of Chinese medicine external treatment techniques.
