摘要:Objective To investigate the correlation between the test results of serum thyroid hormones and TCM symptoms in the patients with stroke in the acute seizure phase. Methods The statistical method of correlation analysis and Stroke Scale of National Institute of Health of America (NIHSS) were used to study the levels of thyroid hormones and factor scores of TCM symptoms at two time points (72 hours and 14 days after the attack of stroke). Results At 72 hours after the attack of stroke the detective values of thyroid hormones [triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxin (T4), free triiodothyronine (FT3) and thyrotrophic supersensitivity hormone (TSH)] were correlated negatively to the scores of fire-heat syndrome and NIHSS. The values of T3 and FT4 had negative correlations respectively to the scores of the syndrome of yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity and blood stasis syndrome. The values of T3 and FT3 were correlated to age. At 14 days after the attack of stroke all values of T3, T4 and FT3 were correlated negatively to the scores of blood stasis syndrome, the value of FT3 had a negative correlation to the scores of phlegm syndrome and NIHSS, and the value of T4 was correlated to age. Conclusion The serum levels of thyroid hormones are negatively correlated to the scores of fire-heat syndrome and NIHSS within 72 hours of the attack of stroke, and are correlated negatively to the score of blood stasis syndrome 14 days after the attack of stroke. The serum levels of thyroid hormones are correlated to age, to different extents, at two time points.

摘要:Objective To discuss the relationship between the death time and yin-yang of TCM in the patients with malignant tumor. Method A reviewed investigation was conducted on the records of 100 dead patients induced by malignant tumor. Result The syndrome characteristics of dead patients induced by malignant tumor were deficiency of healthy qi and domination of pathological qi, and combination of deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis. There were 80.4 % patients with consumptive symptoms, the patients with insufficiency of yang qi were more than those with deficiency of yin blood. Among 67 patients with excessive syndrome or the syndrome combined excess with deficiency there were 83.6 % patients with the symptoms of blood stasis, and 43.3 % with phlegm-damp (or phlegm-heat). The death time of the patient was mostly at 0:00 to 11:59 (66.0 %), and the death peak period was in summer and autumn (65.0 %). Conclusion The syndrome characteristics of TCM in the patients with terminal malignant tumor were deficiency of healthy qi and domination of pathological qi, and combination of deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis. The syndromes of insufficiency of yang qi were more than the syndromes of deficiency of yin blood. The death of the patient is related to the time and seasons.

摘要:Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of Jieduqingyou Decoction orally combined with Longmudanshen Decoction applied externally on verruca plana. Method The patients of outpatient department were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=23) in a proportion of 3 to 2. The treatment group was treated with Jieduqingyou Decoction orally combined with Longmudanshen Decoction applied externally, and the control group was treated with Cimetidine Tablets orally and 0.1 % Vitamin A Cream applied externally. Result In the treatment group the cure rate was 66.67 % and the total effective rate was 93.33 %. In the control group the cure rate was 34.78 % and the total effective rate was 69.57 %. The outcomes of the treatment group were better than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The curative effect of Jieduqingyou Decoction orally combined with Longmudanshen Decoction applied externally on verruca plana is quite good.

摘要:Objective To observe the curative effect of the therapy of warming yang, invigorating spleen, regulating qi and relaxing the bowels on chronic constipation. Method The patients (n=60) were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group (each n=30). The treatment group was treated with the therapy of warming yang, invigorating spleen, regulating qi and relaxing the bowels, and the granules of Chinese medicinals included Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Herba Cistanches and Semen Raphani orally. The control group was treated with Simotang Oral Solution orally. Result After the comparison and rank sum test the result showed that P<0.05 and there was a statistical significance in difference between two groups. The cure plus effectual rate of the treatment group was 86.7 % and that of the control group, 60.0 %. The difference in the cure plus effectual rate between two groups was statistically significant (χ2=0.020, P=0.039), which indicated that the cure plus effectual rate in the treatment group was higher than that of the control group. Conclusion The therapy of warming yang, invigorating spleen, regulating qi and relaxing the bowels has an obvious curative effect on chronic constipation.

摘要:Objective To evaluate the curative effects and safety of different Chinese medical preparations for treatment of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis. Methods The related domestic and foreign databases were retrieved. The data of randomized controlled trial (RCT) was collected and compared among Chinese medical preparations and placebo, western routine treatment and hormone therapy for treating pulmonary interstitial fibrosis with a 3-month treatment course. There were 2 appraisers fetching data alone. The quality appraisal and material analysis of RCT were conducted based on the criteria of Cochrane Collaboration. Results There were 9 RCT (involving with 598 patients with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis) accorded with the collecting criteria. All of the trials were evaluated as low methodological quality. The result of one study on integrated treatment of Chinese and Western medicinals showed that the survival rate of the patient was prolonged for 5 years with RR 4.07 [confidence interval (CI) of 95 % was 1.2812.95]. The results of two studies on integrated treatment of Chinese and Western medicinals showed that some symptoms were relieved and some indexes of lung function were improved. In the relief of lung imaging pathological changes the result of one study on integrated treatment of Chinese and Western medicinals showed that the integrated treatment was better than only Western treatment with RR 1.56 (CI of 95 % was 1.241.95). There were adverse events reported in 2 trials involving with Chinese medical treatment or the integrated treatment. Conclusion Because less samples and lower quality of the trials there are not enough proofs for the curative effect and safety of Chinese medicinals for the treatment of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis. More clinical trials with higher quality are needed to confirm the potential effects of Chinese medicinals for the treatment of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis.
摘要:Objective To observe the influence of Yougui Pills with the action of warming kidney yang, and Zhibaidihuang Pills with the actions of nourishing yin and lowering ministerial fire, on the serum levels of estradiol (E2), progesterone (P) and testosterone (T) in female rats. Methods All rats were randomly divided into the blank control group, high-dose Yougui Pills group, low-dose Yougui Pills group, high-dose Zhibaidihuang Pills group and low-dose Zhibaidihuang Pills group. The chemiluminescence method was used to detect the level of E2, and the radioimmunity assay was used to determine the levels of P and T. Results The level of E2 in the high-dose Zhibaidihuang Pills group was obviously lower than those in the blank control group, high-dose Yougui Pills group and low-dose Yougui Pills group (P<0.05). The level of E2 in the low-dose Zhibaidihuang Pills group was obviously lower than that in the high-dose Yougui Pills group and low-dose Yougui Pills group (P<0.05). The level of P in the high-dose Zhibaidihuang Pills group was obviously lower than that in the blank control group and low-dose Zhibaidihuang Pills group (P<0.05). The levels of T in all groups were not changed. Conclusion Yougui Pills has no influence on the serum levels of E2, P and T. Zhibaidihuang Pills in high dose can decrease the serum levels of E2 and P, but not influence the level of T.
