高齢者の中耳腫瘍性中耳炎は耳鼻咽喉科において一般的な疾患であり、手術が主要な治療法であるが、手術後には二次感染がしばしば発生し、これらの感染はしばしば抗生物質に耐性のある細菌による。抗菌薬の単独使用は、この種の中耳腫瘍性中耳炎手術後感染の治療に対して効果がない。中医薬は内服外用療法を組み合わせて中耳腫瘍性中耳炎手術後の二次感染に対する治療で顕著な利点を持っている。
